Please conduct a full scope firearms compliance inspection of this Type 01 FFL . During initial review of this assignment please ensure the shared drive is reviewed for any additional variance approvals, correspondences, etc. that are not located in the file. If a location needs added, deleted or amended/updated, please do so to ensure we maintain an accurate and up to date database.
An onsite compliance inspection was conducted on April 5, 2016 at the above licensed premise. The closing conference was conducted on 4/18/2016. Owner, Gary Bickel was interviewed by IOI redacted. One violation was disclosed. This was the first compliance inspection of this license. The violation was not a repeat violations. Advance notice was given due to limited hours of operation. The period of inspection was 11/16/2010 (first transaction after acquiring license) through 4/5/2016. GPS co-ordinates were entered in N-SPECT . No hidden ownership or prohibited zoning was revealed.
Concur with alternate recommendation from Warning Conference to Warning Letter with no recall . A warning conference could be recommended due to the percentage of A&D Record violations but the licensee corrected all errors and assured future compliance. This is the first compliance inspection of the licensee since recieving the license in 2010. The licensee had stopped enter certain information in the A&D record book but is now aware of the importance of entering the information for future possible trace requests. With DIO concurrence WL signed and mailed by A/S redacted on 5/25/16.
After discussion with the AS, DIO concurs with recommendation for Warning Letter.
