MANUFACTURERS & IMPORTERS Inspections. Review Marking Variance 16-00858 with the FFL . Conduct a full firearms compliance inspection to determine how many duplicate serial numbers were put in commerce and how many duplicate serial numbers are in inventory.
Recommend Warning Letter with no recall inspection On March 16, 2017, Investigator redacted initiated an announced full Manufacturer of Firearms Inspection of the above referenced FFL . The responsible persons andMGMR, Christopher Aaron Riedeman, was present for the inspection; verified with a valid Florida driver’s license. Also available for the inspection was MGMR, Colby Charles Santaw. The scope of the inspection included all licensed activities from January 1, 2016 through March 23, 2017. Special instructions included SPECIAL REQUEST / MANUFACTURERS & IMPORTERS Inspections. Review Marking Variance 16-00858 with the FFL. The licensee self-referred a discrepancy concerning the Marking Variance. The licensee manufactures two models of receivers, LF15 and LF10, with serial numbers with the letter prefix “A” and “B" respectively. The licensee outsources the initial firearms receiver manufacturing process to Stealth Arms, LLC (4-31-04418). Stealth Arms, LLC inadvertently marked both model’s serial number with the letter prefix “A”. Investigator redacted conducted a full Manufacturer of Firearms compliance inspection to determine how many duplicate serial numbered firearms distributed into commerce. On June 6, 2017, Investigator redacted conducted a final review of the A&D record to verify accuracy and completeness.
Concur with recommendation of a warning letter and no recall inspection . The FFL was cited for six violations. The warning letter is based upon the FFL failing to prepare ATF F 3310.4 in redacted instance. A warning letter was sent certified mail, return receipt requested, on 06/29/17. The Pll was completed on 06/26/17.
