This is an alternate recommendation as a result of licensee’s percentage of failure to timely and/or correctly record the required acquisition and disposition information. Licensee mainly provides transfer services and special orders, and does not maintain an inventory of firearms. FFL business operations are low-volume. Licensee acknowledged significance of violation(s) and was very cooperative during inspection. Licensee indicated that the type of bound book (records ledger) and lack of clear columns/rows caused many of the bound book errors. The licensee has obtained a new bound book with column/row formatting as outlined in Title 27 CFR 478.125.
